Inalco institute to screen Iran’s ‘Leaf of Life’

Directed by Ebrahim Mokhtari, Iranian movie ‘Leaf of Life’ has been scheduled to go on screen in National Institute for Oriental Languages and Civilizations (inalco) in France.

After the screening which is slated for May 20, the Q&A session will also be held.

‘Leaf of Life’ chronicles a true story that unfolds against the backdrop of Saffron harvest in a small Iranian town northwest of the country.

As a farmer is determined to earn enough money to purchase a landed property in the capital city of Tehran, real estate price hikes seem to thwart him.

The movie was awarded by the Vesoul International Film Festival of Asian Cinema in France in 2018.

Inalco is a French research institution teaching languages that span Central Europe, Africa, Asia, America, and Oceania.
